There are so many petty annoyances in this world, and it's always fun to rant about them in an amusing manner as if you think they're the most dire, pressing issues mankind has ever faced!



Oh dear god shut up SHUT UP SHUT UP. I'm tired of all these people whining about how DeviantART used to be so good, now its a sucky pit of despair and suck and all the art sucks, all the people sucks, wah the new design sucks, omg it times out sometimes and it totally sucks and there are other art sites out there you know, man, DA isn't end all!

SO THEN WHY DON'T THESE PEOPLE LEAVE?

Yeah you like to complain about how much DA suuuucks and is soooo baaaaad now and you hate what it's become and yet you sit around here every single day, upload your art, and whine in the forums and on other whiner's journals. Maybe it's because you can't live without the feeling of your e-penis swelling everytime someone leaves a comment on your shitty photomanipulations, your poorly rendered cliche paintings, or your emo-ass little poems.

It's JUST. A. WEBSITE. A huge one yes. One that offers people alot of ease and opprotunity to get their art noticed. One that can be fun to hang out on because of the people. Yes I know I tend to be an internets debater on the forums, but thats not a SERIOUS BUSINESS thing, it's just fun because I'm an asshole.

I think it's hilarious I keep seeing complaints that DA keeps adding "MySpace-like features" voiced by the same people who have whined and cried for over a year that DA needs to be more about COMMUNITY. Now they whine and cry its not about TEH ARTZ anymore. Which is it, you fucking babies? Do people just always need something to complain about? Are you all just like a bunch of fucking teenagers whose parents buy them everything they want and they still complain their life sucks? Granted there are alot of kids like that on this site... but you know what I mean...


EDIT: I also decided I should add this, this is a comment I left on a journal recently, that claimed there were so many other sites LIKE DeviantART, that DeviantART may no longer be relevant. It of course neglected to mention the names of any of these other supposedly similar, just-as-good or even superior-in-design/management websites. And so.. I ask...




By the way I think there are several aspects of Y!Gallery's design I like better than DA's. The moderators there are good, it hardly ever has bugs, the community is friendly. You'd think it'd be the PERFECT alternative to DA... but it only allows drawings of men, and the vast majority of it is hot, wet, yaoi. I guess that ones out .



Why? Why do people keep bitching about the Daily Deviations? You can choose to not even have them APPEAR on your frontpage anymore. Take advantage of those features you all bitch about. If you don't like them, take them off your frontpage, you never have to see them again.

Start your own "DD" feature in the News if you think you can do such a better job. I hope it gets popular and the fans of the feature start bitching about all your choices and how they totally suck lately.



I've been having the TV on alot lately again. I always need some background noise while I work and art, and I've not felt like lisening to music for some reason. I had been barely watching any TV for a while. Bah. So I've managed to see alot of STUPID commericals.

It goes without saying I hate AXE Body Spray commercials. But I keep noticing now that the guy in the commercial is always some flabby, doughy, big-earred dork with an ugly face who has supermodels making out with him and fighting over his dick because apparently the smell of that ass-smelling stuff turns them into fevered sex-crazed womenbeasts.

I can only imagine this product is aimed at the exact kind of guys who appear in these ads so if you use AXE I'm going to assume you're an ugly dork.


Then there's this Burger King ad "I'm too hungry for 'chick food' I'ma gonna gets a greasy burger cause I'M A MAN". Great, asshole. The only reason there's unsatisfying "chick food" is because chicks are expected to maintain the figure of a 12 year old Chinese boy these days, just for you (as referenced by his supposed girlfriend in the commercial who looks utterly embarassed as he storms out of the restaurant singing about what a MAN he is because he haves a preference for ground rat meat and congealed ketchup and mayo passed off as "secret sauce"). The idea of a woman eating a burger is of course unfathomable, even when they show women in burger ads do you notice they never take an actual bite of the food? IT'S CREEPY.

Maybe I read too much into advertising but I can't help it, the structure of commercials kind of fascinates me. That and I enjoy making fun of bad ones.


Come to think of it I think the only ad that's ever worked on me was a Quiznos ad, the one where the lights come on in an oven and there's just a bunch of guys in food suits dancing around to wild music. Then it just goes "mmm toasty". And I was like "..I ..NEED.. TO EAT AT THAT PLACE" and have been obsessed with it ever since. Fuck I was even elated I was connecting in Maryland last time I traveled for a convention cause I knew there was a Quiznos in the airport there. But there's one on the college campus now, so I'm happy.


There was more but now I'm getting bored. Now that I've finished my CHOWDAH I need to get back to doing something productive. GOOD DAY!
