I has art for sale

.About to be Lynched by Fangirls.
So if you haven't noticed on the
Today page there's a big damn fandom wank cry about the ending of Avatar and how *SPOILER* Zuko and Katara don't end up getting together! OH NOES! Who would have guessed such a shocking plot twist besides anyone who has actually watched the show without fangirl-euphoric beer goggles of some kind?
I asked a simple question, if over-zealous shipper girls actually watch shows or do they just pick them apart for every little thing they could possibly twist into "evidence" of a romantic relationship. One that doesn't exist mind you, which I didn't add.
I then went on to point out Katara despises Zuko, and ask what kind of weak-minded girl would fall head over heels for a guy who caused so much strife in her life just because he ups and says he reformed? I went further to say this would be out of character for her anyway, as she's stubborn, fussy, self-righteous and strong-willed (not that these are always bad qualities in her but they do give her some character flaws which in the end is a good thing.)
I concluded with an expression of annoyance at fangirls who decry well-made products and the wishes of the writers of those products all because their little fan obsessions are never fulfilled.
Naturally after only about 20 minutes or so my comments were hidden and I was blocked (
though I seem to be unblocked now EDIT: no I'm definitely blocked now)

I didn't even swear nor was I that derisive or insulting.
Scolding, yes.
But really I meant what I said. Reading the other comments I had no idea any fantards besides the Harry Potter ones were this batshit insane (granted many Avatar fangirls likely double as Harry Potter fangirls.) They're fucking
religious about this. They call themselves "Zutarians", which sounds like some kind of crazy UFO cult.
Not only does the journal writer compare their ship obsession not being fulfilled to the death of a relative (not to mention Aang and Katara have been set up to develop feelings for each other from nearly the beginning) but so many of her fans are saying it doesn't matter what the show says, what the writer's say, THE SHIP LIVES ON. They even act like the
writers have somehow BETRAYED them for not conforming to their fanfiction, that they somehow wrote their story the way they wanted (and likely planned from the beginning you twits)
just to spite all the shipper fans. Or even that
other shipper fans photoshopped all this stuff just to fool them! Even one says that they,
like JK Rowling, wrote the story wrong.

You know I reaaallly fucking hate that attitude. At that point you aren't even a fan of the show/book/film whatever anymore. You're a fan of fans, a fan of fandom, you're a fan of your own fanfiction. And it's your writing that's inept, not the other way around you tools.
Personally I love Avatar. It's a good little show with nice design, a full world, drool-worthingly accurate martial arts (which is what drew me to it in the first place), well-rounded, likable characters and a surprisingly epic plot that falls together well. It can also be very funny. All around it's extremely well done (wish the animation wasn't so painfully low-budget though... I was kind of hoping for another season just to see it improve even more.)
But you little shipper-noodles got to learn to enjoy things for
what they are, not what you think you can make them. Fanfiction has always been kinda pathetic, but there was a time when people at least
understood that it was just that, that it would never occur in the real show. It's like the dumb shipper-babies can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality, you get foam-at-the-mouth insane when your little fantasies don't play out in the real thing, you say fuck the creators, you scream you'll stop watching the show,
you threaten to protest the poor guys' booth at a con with badly made shipper t-shits. I mean goddamn just look at yourselves, this is insane.
Then again maybe I just don't understand because I'm capable of coming up with my
own stories and characters.

Also STOP COMBINING NAMES HOLY CRAP IS IT ANNOYING!
EDIT---------
And here's a new quotable for you guys:
"And you know what? FUCK CANON. 1,000+ female creative minds > 2 male creative minds....in the department of romance. No offense, Mike and Bryan."
Yup cause you could write their story better than they could! They must just suck at romance for not recognizing what great storytelling your retarded fan cliche of pairing up enemies for no reason would be. Who cares about realistic character interaction or plot continuity!?
They also don't seem to realize there are more writers working on the series than just the two guys who created it...
