The new cover for my comic "The Story From Hell" (<--- Click to Read)

I can say I'm very happy with this (and because it was suggested multiple times, I went with the red text this time around).

First of, it looks ALOT cleaner. I'm glad I decided to draw Lucifer and Satan on seperate boards this time. I played a bit more on color in this one as well, and got pretty bold with it. But I'm really enjoying that shade of blue. I also went into a bit more graphic design on the logo (it was so plain before) without losing the original feel.

I'm also happy with that subtle glow on the highlights of Lucifers hair (if you can see it ) Ain't photoshop grand.

Now... Satan's color doesn't have as much depth on this cover as the last one (also I was using Open Canvas instead of Painter 8 ) but you know, I think it works better in this instance. Because it really makes the red text flow, plus he stands out more, he's got more of a presense.

Of course that could also be due to his new pose. He's still got a sort of innocent and confused/lost look on his face, but its coupled with his usual self-righteous indignation. And he seems a little more defiant, his hips and upper body are now tilted in opposite directions (though his hips are much more prominent) and his feet are planted firmly on the ground. Also his arms are slightly loose by his sides, but his hands are holding fast to that chain showing he means business.

I'm proud to say I think I summed up his entire character in that pose and expression.
