Um... I was going to have a preview pic warning about spoilers but it seems you are unable to do that for every kind of file anymore. And I didn't want to have the pic to have to be DOWNLOADED... so ... HEY SPOILER WARNING!

Eh that's far enough. Anyway, ever since I saw leaked pages of the new Harry Potter book I couldn't stop laughing about what a wholly undignified and uncool death Snape died.

I mean, I like the Harry Potter books and all, but out of context (or maybe even in context) it's just funny to me. My friend *anystar encouraged me to draw fanart of the image that was stuck in my head because she thought it would be funny and she confirmed Snape's death for me when she got her preordered copy of the book (cause I'm... lazy. And probably won't even get the book for a week or longer.)

Of course despite not being a person who often does fanart I really couldn't resist.

Of course she didn't tell me until I started coloring this that the "cage" the snake Nagini was in was in fact some variety of magic bubble (which is even more silly) but... um. Who says Dark Lords can't magic up wrought iron, apparently platter-cover-shaped cages?

Anyway, so incase you're the last person on Earth to hear this and don't know: Snape dies in the last Harry Potter book when Voldemort throws a cage, or magic bubble, with his snake familiar in it over Snape's head and shoulders and the thing tears his throat. It's just so... really undignified is the only word. And I'm sure much future fanart of this scene is going to ignore the fact that he was killed with a cage and a snake on his head

Anyway, you may notice I didn't do this all animu style. I thought a more Western style would be... funnier. And, I dunno, I guess I've seen one too many anime-style Harry Potter fanarts where characters like Lupin, Peter Pettigrew and Snape are turned into bishonen and developed an adversion to it.

I also didn't want to cop out and just draw Alan Rickman so I just drew Snape as I remember him described throughout the books.

Lol also the snake I drew sucks.

...I have been working on some... actual... art. Slowly. This was a nice, albeit retarded, change of pace.
