I didn't expect to finish this so soon but I couldn't stop working on it today (and I started painting it a bit last night before I went to sleep). This is of course Lucifer. I noticed as I was painting it too that it goes along with another bloody bloody image of him I did a while ago : [link]

You'll notice of course this is Lucifer from the past, from the war in Heaven thousands and thousands of years ago ( in the Story From Hell timeline ). However, despite that, he's accompanied by a symbol of his present day self, his trademark cigarette of course (chain-smoking bastard). What thats supposed to mean I haven't the slightest clue, maybe something like that was the moment he became who he is today. At any rate, I'm very proud of this illustration. I also drew him slightly more "realistic" here if you've noticed.

I had the vauge idea for an image like this for a while, but it just sorta came out while sketching and listening to Nightwish (Thankyou to whoever reccomended that band to me, I forget who it was ), namely the songs "I Wish I Had an Angel" "Planet Hell" and "Dead to the World". It does feel good though, to still be focusing on random character illustrations rather than images more depicting certain scenes. I never get tired of drawing Lucifer, his hair is too much fun.

Alot of people have been confused as to why Lucifer is the only Fallen Angel with black wings. Thats because Angels wings don't change when they fall, Lucifer's wings were just severely fucked up in battle (well his main wings, he has four others that remain hidden most of the time). They were burnt, torn up, and caked in the blood of other Angels. As much of a bastard as Lucifer is, at least he was in the midst of the war he started, fighting with all who followed him.
